Welcome to the UCLA Department of Communication. Our department is focused on the social scientific study of communication, broadly defined. Our work covers many areas, including interpersonal communication and cognition, human-computer interaction, evolution and human behavior, artificial intelligence and computational modeling, mass communication, and political communication. These themes shape our faculty research, graduate and undergraduate programs, and departmental speaker series.
