CS major Sam Billimoria, 71, is UCLA’s oldest graduating senior this year.
When Professor Paul Von Blum looked out at the rows of students on the first day of his Comm Studies 165 class last fall, he noticed someone special.In the front row of the large lecture hall, the 72-year-old professor not only spotted an eager student. He also discovered a generational comrade — Sam Billimoria, at 71, is the oldest student Von Blum has taught during his 46-year career.This week, Billimoria becomes UCLA’s most senior graduating senior for 2015, a distinction the communication studies major humbly accepts, but doesn’t find particularly special.
