COMM 156 – Social Networking


Students will study the structure of social networks and how online social network sites and apps have facilitated interpersonal interactions for knowledge sharing, romance, business, politics, entertainment, etc. Students will critically investigate connections among people facilitated by popular social networking and social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Vine) utilizing social network analysis and other social science research methods.
