About Prof. Greg Bryant

I am a cognitive scientist who studies communication and cognition from an evolutionary perspective. My graduate training is in experimental psycholinguistics at UC Santa Cruz, and I completed a postdoctoral fellowship in the UCLA Center for Culture, Brain, and Development. My research incorporates concepts and methods from cognitive psychology, speech science, anthropology, and behavioral biology. In my lab we do acoustic analyses of vocalizations, perception and psychophysiology experiments, and design cross-cultural field studies.
