How has Comm Studies empowered you in your professional and personal life?

Communication Studies has empowered me by enabling me to leverage my interpersonal knowledge to gauge specific situations whether through dialect, physical stance, tone, etc. Also, those familiar with UCLA's Communication Studies program are usually impressed when I share my degree background considering it's one of the most impacted majors, so I get a little cred(ability) there. Go Bruins!

What advice would you give to a current Comm Studies student?

Explore organizations outside of UCLA - whether it be a non profit, community or career related organization, it's a great way to expand your network and perspective.
