Favorite UCLA memories include, hanging out in Jane's office eating cake, undie run, spring sing, studying in Powell, and partying with friends. Being in college is a very magical time and sometimes you don't realize it because you're stressed about papers and exams.
What was the most valuable or applicable lesson you learned from a Comm Studies class?
Comm studies taught me how to really think and get outside my comfort zone. I felt like professors and TA's weren't easy on you and weren't going to let you coast by. Fluff just wasn't going to cut it. This mentality prepared me for "the real world" and doing work that matters.
What advice would you give to a current Comm Studies student?
Do as many internships as possible. Figure out what you like, you don't like, and what actually gets you excited. UCLA is the perfect atmosphere to meet some really interesting people that may change your life. You don't know it at the time, but never again will you have so many opportunities where it's OK to shmooze and network. Take advantage of that.
