Why did you choose Comm Studies as your major?

I wanted to learn the theories behind communication; how to effectively communicate story, why certain things vibe with this group and not others, how to sufficiently reach the masses, etc.More importantly, the ratio was excellent for study groups.

Favorite UCLA memory and/or professor

My favorite UCLA memory would probably be whenever I'd finish up studying for midterms or finals, walking out of Powell around 2 - 3AM and just looking over Janss steps. And of course, when we beat '$C in 2012. Too many amazing professors to count, but Professor Peterson and Professor Johnson stand out during my tenure in school.

How has Comm Studies empowered you in your professional and personal life?

It's given me the scientific and research-backed education I need to effectively tell stories.

What was the most valuable or applicable lesson you learned from a Comm Studies class?

Negotiation with Kerri Johnson. Hands down.

What advice would you give to a current Comm Studies student?

Maximize on the fact you can usually allow your schedule to have 2 - 3 open days during the week; thus, you can spend that time interning, working on personal projects, researching, etc. Not many majors have this privilege where you can learn HANDS-ON in addition to your formal education.
