Why did you choose Comm Studies as your major?

It's a fantastic, well-rounded major that does a great job covering the social sciences and humanities.

How has Comm Studies empowered you in your professional and personal life?

Strong communication skills are crucial for any role. The ability to effectively communicate and act as a leader have proved tremendously helpful in my career, and I owe much of that learning experience to the UCLA Comm Studies department.

What was the most valuable or applicable lesson you learned from a Comm Studies class?

1. Stories can be incredibly powerful tools to call people to action.
2. It's not just what you say, but also how you say it.

What advice would you give to a current Comm Studies student?

Be nice to Jane, and make sure you intern somewhere that you find interesting every summer.

Fun facts, interests, hobbies

I love to rock climb, and I'm currently building an athletic apparel startup.

Significant Achievements

-Built an app that was selected as a Staff Pick in Google Play.
-Was accepted to both the Stanford Graduate School of Business and Harvard Business School. Currently attending Stanford.
