Why did you choose Comm Studies as your major?

I chose Comm Studies as my major because of the broad nature of the subject. By choosing Comm Studies, I knew I would not be limited in my career options. Not to mention, UCLA's Communication Studies program is highly ranked, so naturally, I was eager to attend.

Favorite UCLA memory and/or professor

Spending time in Jane Bitar's office eating homemade treats and sharing lots of laughs.

How has Comm Studies empowered you in your professional and personal life?

Comm Studies has definitely played a positive role in shaping my personal and professional life. During my studies at UCLA, I learned how to be a better writer, thinker, and researcher.

What advice would you give to a current Comm Studies student?

Make sure to stay in touch with professors, take advantage of the networking opportunities that come your way, and do an internship in your field of interest to decide whether or not it's something you'd like to pursue a career in, in the future.

Fun facts, interests, hobbies

I am an avid baker. It is a hobby of mine, as well as a small business I established. www.myhautecakes.com
I did an internship in New York City right after graduating from the Comm Studies Program. I moved here 3 years later and love it.
