Professor Von Blum interviewed by Hyde Park Civilizace

UCLA Communication Studies Professor Paul Von Blum was invited to the Czech Republic to speak about his work that focuses on African-American studies, history and the struggle for civil rights. He has nearly fifty years of experience in political activism – much from his time participating in the African-American Civil Rights Movement. He talked about how he personally participated in several political movements, including the legendary march on Washington for jobs and freedom of 28 August 1963, where Martin Luther King gave a famous speech “I Have a Dream.”  In an interview with Hyde Park Civilizace he shares about his experience and answers questions including, What is his personal experience of the struggle for civil rights? And how are we today? Looking at getting skin color, or by the quality of character?
